WHAT IS EDUCATIONAL KINESIOLOGY & BRAIN GYM®?
Being alive necessitates continual body movement, whether easily noticeable such as walking, some invisible muscle adjustment like those continually involved in visual focussing, or automatic e.g. as in heartbeat, breathing, etc. Just as every movement (and thus skill) originates in the brain, there can be no thought without some corresponding body response. Kinesiology is the study of movement. Educational Kinesiology (Edu-k) & Brain Gym® work with activating brain/body communication and connectivity to optimise “Natural-KnowHow” ability for enhanced intellectual, emotional and practical performance.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A CONSULTATION
Within the Edu-k therapy setting Brain Gym® is tailored to address the individual needs of anyone wishing to quickly secure lasting advances in aptitude or personal success. This application of Brain Gym® is called Balancing. An Edu-k Balance typically involves establishing a client priority goal, determining and then undertaking the Brain Gym® options which promise best personal outcome prospects for that goal and then re-evaluating before and after Balance observations to compare and notice changes such as newly acquired ease or competence. A technique called muscle checking is used to assist holistic self-discovery. Many people experience immediate advances and session by session progress is cumulative. Sometimes Brain Gym® movements may need to be continued daily for a short period between sessions for consolidation purposes. The number of sessions is determined by client requirements with 3 – 4 weeks between follow-ups being quite typical. Edu-k & Brain Gym® is suitable for virtually all people and ages. Clients come suitably dressed in comfortable clothing & footwear.

PRACTITIONER PROFILE
I have lived in Oxfordshire for 23 years and moved to Witney in 1990 with my two children who now attend university. Having trained as a counsellor it was quite by chance when in 1998 I stumbled across the remarkable benefits of Edu-k & Brain Gym®. At that time I had neither anticipated the extraordinary power of this contrastingly simple approach nor appreciated the true scope for realizing untapped personal potential.
